Good day everyone. Today is a holiday – Defender of the Fatherland Day. And on this holiday, I decided to recreate my favorite dishes during my military service.
We get into kitchen duty and start cooking!
Fresh cabbage salad
In the army, fresh cabbage salad is simply shredded fresh cabbage. But since there is a salad bar (for the uninitiated, this is a selection of vegetables: tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, radishes, sweet peppers, canned peas and corn, as well as vegetable oil and vinegar), you can make a salad yourself from those ingredients that you like or those that are left over. Depending on the time of year, cut vegetables change from fresh to canned.
Ingredients:
Kitchen utensils:
We clean and wash all vegetables. Shred the cabbage thinly. Grate carrots on a coarse grater. Cut the tomato into small slices, cut the cucumber into rings. Finally, add salt to taste and season with vegetable oil.
Rice soup with meatballs
Ingredients:
For the meatballs:
Kitchen utensils:
First of all, cook the broth from the seeds. Next, peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes, wash the rice, peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater, cut the onion into small cubes.
For meatballs, add egg and finely chopped onion to the minced meat, salt and pepper to taste. Afterwards we shape them (they should be the size of a walnut).
Add chopped potatoes to the prepared https://nonukonlinecasinos.uk/betting/ broth. After boiling, add rice. After 10-15 minutes we send the meatballs. While they float up, we fry them. Add spices, vegetable oil, onions and carrots to the frying pan. Sauté until the onion is transparent.
Add roast and bay leaf to the soup being prepared. Place on low heat and after 10 minutes the soup is ready. You can add greens for beauty.
Pearl barley porridge with cutlets
Ingredients:
Kitchen utensils:
Rinse a glass of cereal. Pour two cups of boiling water and add one teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. The lid of the pan can be covered with a towel to prevent steam from escaping. Add a tablespoon of butter to the prepared porridge.
Add egg, onion and bread soaked in milk to the minced meat. Mix thoroughly adding salt and pepper. For the gravy, peel and finely chop the onions and carrots.
Form cutlets, roll in flour and place in a well-heated frying pan and fry on both sides for 2-3 minutes. Afterwards, sauté the onions and carrots in vegetable oil, add a spoonful of flour, dilute with a glass of broth. Add tomato sauce and spices, lay out the cutlets and simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes.

Cooking cutlets and vegetables
Since this is a festive lunch, the soldier is entitled to: three chocolates, three cookies and one fruit. Bon appetit! Happy holiday!
The command of the unit, the head of the food warehouse and the cooks largely depend on what the soldiers eat. I was fine with this. That’s why I had positive impressions from the dining room.

Not bad for a soldier’s treat. If they fed this way in the movie "DMB", I think they would look happier. )
Yeah, “the well-fed is no friend to the hungry”). Well, if you’re lucky, that’s good. Thanks for the recipe, maybe I’ll make meatball soup too.
Happy cooking
We must understand the depth of our depths!
They fed you well. Although it is clear that this is just a home imitation, in reality everything is somewhat different, but you can still roughly imagine.
In 2010, I changed three parts, one of which was considered quite wealthy, so even there it was much easier with food. At least the soup with meatballs was not so rich, and the salad was poorer in variety.
And at the end of the year, problems also began with provision, so things got worse. Good food memories include only sweet rice milk in one part, delicious cutlets and fresh crispy bread in another.
If these days conscripts are fed this way, and they also teach them how to cook while wearing canteen outfits, then why not go) (I’m kidding, of course)
No… The recipe overtook me in terms of advantages.
I’m leaving the site… plus the recipe)
Mom, I learned how to cook soup!
We are waiting for the next recipes on the channel!
So the DMB was removed in 2000, and I served in 2018.
Plus, it still depends on the part and start.food service and cooks.
I served in 2018. The cooks cooked deliciously and tried to make it tasty and satisfying from the ingredients they had. I liked pasta/millet with goulash for breakfast. On Saturday, millet with milk and pasta with sausages in the morning. For dinner, they almost always asked for a mixture of side dishes (potatoes + stewed cabbage + rice), and not just one of them. Even on Wednesday, they served solyanka soup for lunch (we joked that it was leftovers from breakfast (sausage, frankfurters and pickled cucumber).
